The impact player rule for the Indian Premier League in 2024 is something that legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli has agreed to, as has India skipper Rohit Sharma.

Speaking on Jio Cinema, Kohli encouraged the Indian cricket board’s board of control to reconsider the new regulation, which he believes has utterly ruined the game’s balance. According to Kohli, not every bowler is as good as Rashid Khan or Jasprit Bumrah, who are really talented at what they do and perhaps less prone to being hit for boundaries.

While entertainment is a part of the game, bowlers shouldn’t be concerned about getting hit for a four or a six on every ball of the match, according to Kohli, who was speaking on Jio Cinema.

Kohli expressed his hope that the BCCI would reconsider its actions and make the best decision for Indian cricket.
