India won the third T20I against West Indies by seven wickets but the former Indian opener Aakash Chopra is not happy with the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.

While talking on his Youtube Channel, Aakash Chopra talked on how Hardik Pandya handled Mukesh Kumae during the third T20I.

Aakash Chopra said,”He didn’t even remember that Mukesh Kumar was playing because he bowled the 18th and 20th over, and that’s it. Till the 18th over Mukesh Kumar did absolutely nothing. Hardik Pandya had bowled three overs by then and Mukesh Kumar hadn’t bowled even one over.”

The ex-Indian opening batsman raised doubts about whether Rohit Sharma would have utilised Mukesh and Arshdeep Singh in a similar manner if he had been leading the team.

The renowned commentator further added,”If Hardik had not been the captain, assume if Rohit Sharma had been the captain, would Mukesh Kumar have got his first over as the 18th or would he have bowled overs before that? Would Arshdeep Singh have bowled only one over with the new ball and wouldn’t have got a second over?”

In this match, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first against India. They put on a total of 159 runs at the loss of five wickets. For West Indies, Brandon King scored the maximum 42 runs while captain Rovman Powell supported it with 40 runs.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav got three wickets while Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar got one wicket each.

Coming to the Indian chase, team India achieved the target in 17.5 overs on the back of Suryakumar’s Yadav 83 runs which he got in just 44 balls with the help of 10 fours and four sixes. On the other hand, Tilak Varma also contributed with 49 runs in 37 balls with the help of four fours and one six.

For West Indies, Alzarri Joseph got two wickets while Obed McCoy managed to get one.
