Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Joe Root And Kane Williamson are termed as ‘Fab Four’ who have continuously scored runs in all the three formats of the game. Former New Zealand cricketer Martin Crowe has given this position to these players and believed that the would keep entertaining the people with their presence on the ground.

However, all these four players are compared with each other. Recently, Kohli registered his 29th Test century playing against West Indies. The other two batters Steve Smith (32) and Joe Root(30) have reached to a great height in Test Cricket and Kohli is behind them by few hundreds.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, the veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik talks about the possibility of Virat Kohli overtaking these players in future.

DK said,”Virat Kohli plays all three formats, and that is going to take a toll on his body. Whereas Joe Root and Steve Smith just play the two formats a lot more, ODIs and Test cricket. Both Australia and England sometimes end up playing more Test cricket than India, so that gives them the best chance of ending up with a lot more hundreds. But knowing the man and the kind of discipline that he is showing across the board in various countries, he could easily end up as the highest Test hundred-run-getter in the world, if not the fab four.”

After smashing the hundred against West Indies, Virat Kohli also talked about his overseas century drought.

Kohli stated,”Honestly, these things are for others to talk on the outside. I have got 15 centuries away from home, not quite a bad record. I have got more centuries away from home than I have got at home. We haven’t played 30 Test matches away from home. I don’t know how many we have played but it is not a big number. I have got a few 50-plus scores but, with me if I get a fifty it is like I missed out on a hundred and if I get 120 it is like I missed out on a double hundred.”
