Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis has completed 1000 runs for RCB. Faf has become the sixth player who Scored over 1000 runs for RCB.

The 54th match of IPL 2023 was played between RCB and Mumbai Indians (MI vs RCB). In this match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 1 run in the first over itself, but captain Faf du Plessis played an inning of 65 runs in 41 balls, and with this innings, he completed his 1000 runs for RCB.

RCB included this South African player in their team in the mega auction of IPL 2022. Earlier, Faf played for Chennai Super Kings and scored many runs in every season. Faf made a similar start for RCB and scored 468 runs at an average of 31.20 in his debut season. Faf was the highest run-scorer for RCB in IPL 2022.

Regarding IPL 2023, Faf is the Orange Cap holder this season and has scored the most runs so far. Faf has scored 576 runs in 11 innings of 11 matches at an average of 57.60 and a strike rate of 157.80.

In this way, Faf has played 27 matches for RCB so far, scored 1044 runs in 27 innings at an average of 41.76. Before Faf, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis and Glenn Maxwell are included in the list of those who scored more than 1000 runs for RCB.

The South African batter played his debut match with Chennai Super Kings in 2012. For CSK, he scored 2721 runs in 92 games at an average of 35.34. Faf was also part of Rising Pune Supergiant and played eight matches in which he scored 214 runs at an average of over 30 with two fifties.

Faf has scored 3,979 runs in his IPL career in 127 matches at an average of 36.50 and a strike rate of 133.93. He has scored 31 half-centuries, with best score of 96.
