A new week has arrived and it’s another seven days of must-watch football fixtures on the box.

Once again we’re back with the best games set to be televised over the next seven days, featuring big rivalries, cup clashes and more!

(Kick-off times are all British Summer Time Zone).

Five must-watch football fixtures on TV this week:

• Salford City v Leeds United – Carabao Cup second round

Salford City will be seeking an upset in the second round of the Carabao Cup, as the ambitious fourth-tier side take on Leeds United.

Salford have made a mixed start to their League Two campaign after defeat in the play-offs last season, but the prospect of an upset should provide Neil Wood’s side with much motivation. The club’s famous owners will also be keen to get one over old rivals Leeds, who earned their first win of the Championship campaign in a thriller with Ipswich at the weekend.

Boosted by the arrival of Joel Piroe and reintegration of Wilfried Gnonto into the squad, Leeds will start as strong favourites.

• PSV Eindhoven vs Rangers, UEFA Champions League Qualifying

PSV Eindhoven meet Rangers in the second leg of their Champions League play-off tie, with all to play for after a cracker of a first leg at Ibrox.

Rangers twice let leads slip in an engrossing 2-2 draw in Glasgow and will travel to the Netherlands needing a repeat of last season’s success, when a 1-0 win at PSV booked The Gers a place in the Champions League proper.

That win came after a 2-2 draw in the first leg. Will history repeat itself, or can PSV exact revenge?

• Brighton vs Newcastle, Premier League

Two teams keen to upset the established elite in the Premier League meet this weekend, each in search of a response after defeats last time out.

Brighton had opened the season with back-to-back wins to briefly top the Premier League table, but saw West Ham walk away from the Amex Stadium with three points after a clinical counter-attacking game plan last weekend.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have lost successive Premier League games to Manchester City and Liverpool. The latter saw the Magpies surrender a 1-0 lead late on, despite having a man advantage for more than an hour, and the tough start for Eddie Howe’s side continues this weekend.

• Rangers vs Celtic, Scottish Premiership

Few games contain rivalry quite like the Old Firm, as the two Glaswegian powerhouses collide for the first time this season this weekend.

Rangers have bounced back from an opening game loss with successive wins, while Celtic top the table and are a point ahead of their bitter rivals after an unbeaten start. The latter have won consecutive league titles and claimed a domestic treble in 2022/23, but have since seen Ange Postecoglou depart for Spurs with Brendan Rodgers returning to Celtic as his replacement.

Rangers thrashed Celtic 3-0 in the most recent meeting between the sides in May, though Celtic had already wrapped up the title before that clash and ended last season seven points clear at the top.

This weekend’s showdown is a chance for both sides to make a statement.

What channel? Sky Sports Main Event.

• Arsenal vs Manchester United, Premier League

Arsenal and Manchester United might not be the rivalry it once was, but this weekend’s clash is one of huge importance for both sides. Each enjoyed seasons of progress last term, though have started the season in unconvincing fashion.

Mikel Arteta’s experiments have failed to pay dividends during the season’s opening weeks, while Manchester United have been exposed during fortuitous wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

Both sides could be boosted with the addition of centre-forwards however, with Gabriel Jesus in line to start for Arsenal after injury and Ramus Hojland closing in on his Manchester United debut.
