Picking the best kits for the season isn’t an easy job, but someone has to do it. 

Every year football fans are bombarded with new jerseys, not just fresh home tops, but away ones, third ones, limited edition versions, pre-match shirts, training gear – it goes on and on.

The constant churn of football Kits has led to a lot of boring, stale and derivative designs in recent years, but the 2023/24 season may actually see a slew of pretty damn good jerseys.

Manchester United‘s home kits have not been particularly impressive since Adidas took over the mantle from Nike, but this one exudes class.

Ajax don’t do bad jerseys and this season is no exception. While everyone seems to be raving about their new away kit, the home one looks as slick as it ever has done.

Adidas have produced two very nice kits for Real Madrid this season, but we are particularly fond of the away version. The violet, white and gold – the club’s official colours – stripes on the sleeves are a lovely touch.

And topping off a stellar summer of kit releases for Adidas, Roma top our rankings with an absolutely beautiful sponsorless top. It can be difficult taking on a club known for iconic kits, but the German manufacturer has outdone themselves here. The classic logo is the piece de resistance.
