Bayern Munich remain confident the club can agree a deal to sign Harry Kane despite the current ‘gap in valuation’ with Tottenham.

Bayern have seen two bids for the forward turned down this summer and a breakthrough failed to materialise despite club officials travelling to London for talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy this week.

Kane has entered the final season of his Deal at Spurs, but the Premier League side are demanding a fee of around £100m for the club’s all-time record goalscorer.

Bayern’s current transfer record is the €80m (£68.5m) fee spent to sign Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid in 2019 and the Bavarians are prepared to break that record to land Kane.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Bayern are confident a deal can be reached and are preparing a third bid, set to be worth around €100m (£85.6m).

Bayern have made Kane their leading transfer target and view the England captain as the perfect player to fill the goalscoring void left by Robert Lewandowski’s sale to Barcelona last summer.

The Bundesliga champions have agreed a deal to sell Sadio Mane to Al Nassr for a fee of £24m as the club look to bring in further funds to sign Kane, while Bayern are reluctant to spend ‘big money’ on a new goalkeeper given the focus on signing a forward. Bayern saw a loan offer for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya rejected last week.
