A few weeks ago on WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley beat Raquel Rodriguez up very badly. Mami’s private attack on her old best friend hurt her knee. Fans might wonder if the injury is real or if it’s all part of the show.
To answer the question, Raquel Rodriguez’s injury is a big part of her ongoing plot with Rhea Ripley. WWE has been hinting for a few weeks that a title match between the two women is coming up. The fight started up again when Big Mami Cool told The Eradicator that she didn’t fear her.
Since she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39, which later became the Women’s World Championship, Ripley has bulldozed anyone who tried to challenge her. Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Liv Morgan are among the people who have been hurt by The Nightmare.
In a previous show of WWE RAW, she even hurt Kevin Owens. Ripley and Damian Priest used the Prizefighter as a distraction last week on the red brand when Sami Zayn was wrestling for the NXT North American Championship against Dominik Mysterio.
Speaking of Dominik, the Judgment Day star kept his title last night at NXT: The Great American Bash with a little help from Ripley. Dom won the match against Mustafa Ali and Wes Lee, who used to be the winner.

Tonight on RAW, Rhea Ripley did a skit in the ring with the Judgment Day. Her ad was cut short by Raquel Rodriguez, who tried to get her ex-best friend in trouble for hurting her on RAW a few weeks ago.
But Rhea Ripley quickly changed the game’s direction by going after Raquel’s hurt knee. Then, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was taken backstage. Adam Pearce told Raquel that if she gets medically cleared, she will face Rhea.

It’s still not clear if Raquel Rodriguez will be well enough to wrestle this Saturday at SummerSlam 2023. As of this writing, WWE hasn’t scheduled a Women’s World Championship match for the biggest party of the summer.
