Major WWE News: Ex-AEW Star Groundbreaking Deal with Triple H Revealed

If what was said during a brand-new virtual signing is any indication, the WWE could be getting a second-generation wrestling champion.

Pillman’s contract with AEW ended earlier this month, and he was allegedly trying out for a job with the WWE.

Has WWE signed Brian Pillman Jr.?

Now, it looks like the 29-year-old fighter could be headed to WWE before the end of the year.

At a virtual signing for Captain’s Corner, Brian Pillman Jr. talked about his career in professional wrestling for almost two hours while signing merchandise for watchers.

Even though he didn’t talk about leaving AEW or trying out for WWE, Pillman told some stories from the road and when different promotional shots were taken. He also talked about his famous father.

At the end of the live show, Pillman was asked if he had anything else to say, and he thanked the crowd for supporting him so far in his work.

In an interesting way, Pillman’s closing comment seemed to hint at the rumors that have been going around about his future, especially after his tryout with WWE. The second-generation star said that he “has a big moment coming up in his career,” which could be a reference to the rumors. As you can see below, Pillman kept saying that he couldn’t talk about it right now.

It’s a tough business. It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll. But, being here today and getting to reminisce on some of my past moments in my career has really cheered me up and put me in a position to where I’m excited for the future. There’s a lot to come. I can’t speak on it right now. It’s kind of in the works right now, but I’ve got a huge moment, a huge opportunity coming up in my career to continue making memories, continue coming up with new gear ideas and sharing my idea of pro wrestling with you all.

From what people have said, it sounds like Pillman’s WWE tryout earlier this month may have pleased Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Vince McMahon, and he could start in NXT before the end of the year.

More signs WWE has signed Brian Pillman Jr.

Brian Pillman Jr. is still promoting his shows for the rest of July and August. However, he has removed a tweet about a show he was going to do at Ryse Pro Wrestling on September 9, 2023. Ryse has also taken out all of the ads for the show that said Pillman would be there.

This could mean that the WWE has gotten in touch with Pillman Jr. to give him a contract that requires him to cancel any bookings for September and later. This means that Pillman could be joining the WWE as soon as August.

After his first time in the Performance Center, he is most likely to start out on the NXT brand.

We will continue to keep you informed of all the most recent developments in WWE and pro wrestling news. We will also provide updates on the Brian Pillman Jr. – WWE scenario as soon as they become available.
