Brest triumphs over Nantes with 2-0 win in Ligue 1

Brest secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Nantes at home on Wednesday night in the Ligue 1. With two goals in the first half, Brest easily took the lead and managed to keep it until the end of the match.

Brest got off to a great start when Jeremy Le Douaron opened the scoring in the 18th minute, much to the delight of the home fans. Mathias Pereira Lage added to the lead 17 minutes later, with Kenny Lala providing the assist.

Despite Nantes' efforts to get back in the game, Brest managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle. Nantes struggled to create many clear-cut chances throughout the game, and their only real opportunity came in the 85th minute when Samuel Moutoussamy was shown the yellow card.

The win sees Brest move up to 14th place in the Ligue 1 table with 35 points, while Nantes remains in 17th place with 32 points. Both teams have three more matches to play this season.

Brest will next face off against Metz away from home, while Nantes will host Strasbourg at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
