As a result, Messi stands as the highest-earning player on the MLS players’ list, overshadowing second-placed Lorenzo Insigne, who earns a base salary of $7.5 million. Additionally, the Barcelona superstar is set to rake in approximately $50-60 million through his partnerships with the MLS and Apple.
All in all, Lionel Messi is estimated to be earning approximately $135 million with Inter Miami, surpassing the collective payroll of 25 MLS clubs. Only Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC, and Messi’s very own Inter Miami have a combined wage bill that surpasses the 36-year-old’s earnings.
