Jena took to her Instagram to express her excitement about being chosen for the issue after undergoing a rigorous selection process.
The 24-year-old actress and model joyfully shared with her 272,000 Instagram followers that she couldn’t contain her happiness upon receiving the news.
In an Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank YOU for the votes, the support, the reshares, even the hate. It all counted.”
“WE DID IT BABY!!! Beyond honoured to be named one of the first rookies for the 60th anniversary issue of @si_swimsuit alongside my fellow Swim Search winners.”
In a video posted on her Instagram, she showcased herself trying on various swimsuits before finally wearing the coveted Sports Illustrated “Rookie” attire.
She is one of seven “rookies” set to grace the pages of the magazine’s 2024 issue.
In her Instagram video, she playfully remarked, “A pair of heels changed Cinderella’s life… This swimsuit changed mine,” in reference to her prized rookie outfit.
TMZ had reported last year that Jena had also entered the competition, sharing that it had always been a lifelong dream of hers to be featured in the annual swimsuit edition.
Jena and her husband first crossed paths at the 2015 Masters and tied the knot in June 2022. They welcomed their first son, Crew Sims Koepka, in July of the same year.
Despite their initial meeting at a golf tournament, the model disclosed to Golf Digest that golf is not a frequent topic of conversation between her and her husband.
Nonetheless, she is a regular presence at Brooks’ events, including the recent Ryder Cup, where she expressed her love for supporting Brooks and watching his remarkable talent in action.
“I love being able to support Brooks and watch him because he’s so talented,” she said. “He’ll say to me all the time: ‘It must be so boring walking around in the crowd watching me play.’ And I’m like, no way. I actually really enjoy it.”
