Reports suggest that Liverpool is eyeing Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose departure next summer is becoming increasingly likely. Salah has attracted interest from Saudi club Al Ittihad, with a £150 million offer reportedly made last summer.

Sane, currently under contract with Bayern until 2025, is the player Liverpool is keen on to fill the void left by Salah. To secure Sane’s services, Liverpool is prepared to surpass its previous record transfer fee of £80 million.

The situation involving Salah’s future remains uncertain, as he has expressed his desire for a fresh challenge. Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on retaining Salah but may be forced to part with the star forward. Next summer, Liverpool hopes to receive a more enticing offer than the one made by Al-Ittihad last year.

In the meantime, Klopp’s Liverpool is gearing up for a Marseille derby against Everton scheduled for October 21.
