In Turin, the two football legends participated in a special Old Lady legends match to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Agnelli family’s takeover. The event, held at the Pala Alpitour, featured a lineup of prominent former Juventus stars in a seven-a-side game.

Notable figures like Patrice Evra, Alessandro Del Piero, Antonio Conte, Mario Mandzukic, Claudio Marchisio, and Fabrizio Ravanelli all aimed to entertain the fans in attendance.

However, the most electrifying moments of the night belonged to Davids and Zidane, who were teammates at Juventus from 1998 to 2001.

The crowd erupted in cheers when Davids displayed his incredible skills, leaving Marchisio bewildered before setting up Ravanelli, who expertly placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

Zidane, who scored 31 goals in 214 games for Juventus, marked his return to the club with a composed finish from close range.

The arena echoed with chants of his name, and Zidane beamed as he acknowledged the applause.

After the match, Zidane remained tight-lipped about his future in management, as he’s been without a coaching job since leaving Real Madrid in May 2021.

When asked about his return to Turin, 22 years after departing for Real Madrid, he said, “It’s nice to be here with these people and the Juventus family.”

“It’s the best thing. It’s nice for us who have stopped playing football to see happy people. What’s more important than this?”

Regarding the possibility of managing Juventus in the future, Zidane stayed cryptic, stating, “I just enjoy the family, which is important, then we’ll see.”

“There will be rumours as long as I am a coach.”

As for Davids, he expressed his deep affection and admiration for Juventus, saying, “It’s a big thing, this is my home.”

“When I learned I could join Juve [in 1998], it was great because they were second [in the table].”

“The group was very strong and it was a family. It was nice to talk to the members of the Agnelli family in a philosophical way.”

“Football has changed, but I still love the fans.”
