Ryan Gravenberch labels Europa League goal for Liverpool as best of his career

Liverpool’s rising star, Ryan Gravenberch, celebrated his debut goal for the club in a recent Europa League showdown against Union St. Gilois by labeling it the pinnacle of his football journey. The thrilling match unfolded at Anfield, culminating in Liverpool’s commanding 2-0 victory, where Gravenberch played a pivotal role.

Gravenberch, whose move to Liverpool from Bayern Munich commanded a £34 million fee last summer, conveyed his exhilaration about donning the Liverpool jersey. He lauded his new comrades and underlined the harmonious camaraderie within the team. Despite his limited 23-minute appearances in the Premier League thus far, the 21-year-old Dutch international made an indelible mark on the Europa League fixture.

In his own words, Gravenberch stated, “It’s great to play here. I think this is the best goal of my football career. It doesn’t matter how the goal is scored. A goal is a goal. If you give a player a chance, he will instill confidence in you.” He further remarked, “We want to give something back to [the fans] for giving us such a good feeling.”

Liverpool’s revered coach, Jurgen Klopp, also joined in the acclaim, affirming, “He is a top player, and we are happy for him.” Klopp praised Gravenberch’s adaptability and acknowledged the significance of the young player’s goal, despite its perceived simplicity.

The triumph against Union St. Gilois signifies Liverpool’s formidable start in the Europa League, as they set their sights on a perfect campaign.
