David De Gea’s next destination? Rumors suggest he could be joining a new club this week, just two months after Manchester United exit

David De Gea may soon find a new club just two months after his departure from Manchester United. De Gea is currently a free agent, allowing him to negotiate terms with clubs despite the transfer window closing. Real Betis is reportedly considering this option ahead of their Europa League campaign.

According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manuel Pellegrini’s team is prepared to take decisive action and secure De Gea’s signing, as their goalkeeper options appear limited.

Betis’ current first-choice goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, previously of Manchester City, missed the weekend’s match against Barcelona due to injury. Furthermore, Rui Silva, Bravo’s backup, had to leave the game at halftime due to a groin injury.

In light of these circumstances, it is reported in the Spanish media that Betis cannot afford to wait until January and is eager to add De Gea to their squad before their upcoming clash with Rangers on Thursday.

It’s worth noting that David De Gea’s emotional message to Manchester United fans following his departure remains unchanged: “I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters. I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love for the last 12 years… ”

“It’s been an unforgettable and successful period since I came here. I didn’t think from leaving Madrid as a young boy we would achieve what we did together.

“Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge, to push myself again in new surroundings. Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and will never leave me. We’ve seen it all.”
