Milan released the following behind the scene video about Zlatan Ibrahimović’s farewell.

After a difficult season that included knee surgery and only four Serie A matches, the Zlatan Ibrahimović chose to hang up his cleats at the age of 41, even if he was still able to score in one of them.

He reflected on his career, which had taken him from Malmo and Ajax to Juventus, Barcelona, Inter, PSG, Manchester United, the LA Galaxy, and ultimately “found serenity in my new motherland in Milan,” in a post on Instagram that included a photo of his feet without his boots.

Ibra said, “The legacy I aspire to leave behind is all the new Zlatans formed by me,” who all have the heart of a lion and fire in their eyes. He thanked everyone for helping to “make” him.

Moreover, Mino Raiola, his agent and close friend, received a heartfelt send-off before passing away in April 2022 with Zlatan by his side: “Mino, we made it! The ride is over. It’s been an amazing journey. I miss you.”
