Panic As Gunmen Strike Hard, Kill Six Miners In Plateau

 

Some Gunmen have once more struck in Plateau State, killing as many as six individuals.

The newest victims have been stated to be miners who have been finishing up their actions on the Turu group in Jos South Local Government Areas of the state when gunmen attacked them on Tuesday night time resulting in their demise.

It was learnt that following the demise of the miners, youths from numerous Communities within the space blocked the Jos -Abuja freeway in protest, leaving commuters stranded on the highway

The assault on the miners comes lower than two days after gunmen killed no fewer than seven individuals in two separate assaults that occurred in Wereng and Heipang communities of Riyom and Barkin Ladi native authorities areas respectively.

The lawmaker representing Jos South and Jos East federal constituency within the National Assembly, Dachung Bagos, confirmed the most recent killing in an announcement on Wednesday

The assertion signed by his aide, Danja Dafwam Yakubu, known as on the federal government to return to assistance from his constituents and cease additional assaults on the communities

The assertion learn, “The member representing Jos South/Jos East within the House of Representatives, Dachung Musa Bagos, is disheartened about renewed assaults on communities in Plateau State by suspected herdsmen.

“Bagos described as sad the last night attack (Tuesday, April 25, 2023) at 8:00 pm where six people were killed at mining spot in Farinlamba Turu, Jos South Local Government of Plateau State”

The lawmaker who can also be the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Anti-corruption puzzled how criminals beat safety brokers “to perpetrate these heinous acts and vanish into thin air without resistance.”

According to Bagos, these killed embody Ishaya David, 25 years from Tana; Paul Adamu from Dangyuruk, 23; Bitrus Mancha from Dantou, 43; Davou Boyi from Dawurum, 40; Joseph John from Dawurum, 39; and Timothy Peter, 35.

“The member can also be calling on the Federal safety companies as a matter of urgency to return to assistance from these hapless residents and supply them with safety.

“The member, subsequently, calls on all related authorities to get up and shield the lives and property of Nigerians because it’s the minimal requirement from the federal government.

“The member, therefore, calls on citizens in those areas to be law-abiding and restrain from taking laws into their own hands but be vigilant at all times.”
