The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has reached the business end after the enthralling 70 games in the league stage. The big two in Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians failed to qualify for the playoffs and that potentially has been the main headline.

However, during the fag end of the league, they struggled to get going and lost four consecutive games, which cost them the second spot in the points table.

Sunrisers Hyderabad throughout the tournament were at their brutal best with the bat. The duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head changed the dynamics of T20 cricket as they shattered a few massive records and helped the team win the 8 games in the tournament. Their bowling complimented them equally well as they not only sealed the spot in playoffs but also will play Qualifier 1 against Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday (21st May).

If there was a comeback for ages, it was done by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2024. After winning just 1 game in their 8 matches, the Faf du Plessis-led side staged a magnificent comeback. They won 6 games on the trot and sealed the 4th spot in the points table. They will be playing eliminator with Rajasthan Royals in Chennai.
