Shoriful Islam has taken his team off to a great start as he removed Reeza Hendricks early in the ongoing match 23 of the ICC World Cup 2023. The Proteas and the Bangladesh are up against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Bangladesh have been asked to field first and they have started the innings on high. Shoriful Islam deserves the credit for it as he has bowled tough lines and lengths and has troubled the batters with his left-arm angle.
Shoriful Islam removed Reeza Hendricks with a peach and after that what caught the attention of many was his celebration. The left-arm pacer bowled a pitched-up delivery from around the wicket. The ball nipped in the back.
Reeza Hendricks tried to defend but the ball went through him and clattered the stumps. After Shoriful Islam removed him, he brought out dance steps and was elated with the dismissal.

Reeza Hendricks failed to replicate his heroics from the last game in the ongoing match. He managed just 12 runs from 19 balls. The batter has been playing in place of skipper Temba Bavuma, who has been battling illness and has missed two games. The captain is set to be back for the next game and Hendricks might have to face the snub. He scored a blistering 85 runs against England.

South Africa lost two wickets in quick succession and they are off to a torrid start in the ongoing match against Bangladesh. After Shoriful Islam removed Reeza Hendricks, Mehidy Hasan Miraz chipped and removed in form Rassie Van Der Dussen early.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled a flatter delivery on middle and leg that kept straight. Rassie van der Dussen was completely beaten as he tried to work it across the line. The ball hit him on the pads and he was adjudged LBW for 1 run. The onus will now be on Quinton de Kock and stand-in skipper Aiden Markram to take the team to a big total. They have so far looked in good touch and would be hoping to continue.
