Heinrich Klaasen was in beast mode in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 game against South Africa. The 20th match of the tournament is currently taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Proteas were all over the defending champions.
Heinrich Klaasen gained all the spotlight as he smashed England bowlers all over the park. The keeper-batter slammed a magnificent ton and was looking to add more to his tally. But unfortunately got out during the fag end of the innings, which potentially cost Proteas few runs.
Heinrich Klaasen tried to shuffle across to scoop a yorker from Gus Atkinson. He failed to flick it away as the ball went on to hit middle and leg stump. He received a great standing ovation from the crowd after he walked back to the dressing room.

Heinrich Klaasen came out with aggressive intent as he smashed bowlers all over the park. The keeper-batter showed no mercy and made bowlers look clueless. The English bowlers had no answers to the carnage by him, such was the caliber of his innings.
Heinrich Klaasen ended with the knock of 109 off 67 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 162.69 and also smashed 12 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His innings helped South Africa score 399 runs.

After their partnership, Aiden Markram (44) played a vital hand as well. But the partnership between Klaasen and Marco Jansen (75*) was staggering. They added 151 runs in quick time and made sure that they put the defending champions under pressure. The partnership powered South Africa to a total of 399 runs. For England, Reece Topley picked three wickets whereas Adil Rashid and Gus Atkinson also bagged two wickets each.
