Later, the Netherlands dominated South Africa from the start, putting them to 44-4 at one stage. They kept on picking wickets and South Africa was bowled out for 207 in the end, losing the match as fans witnessed a big upset in the tournament.
Sri Lanka lost their first two games to South Africa and Pakistan. In their previous match, they lost to Australia by 5 wickets. Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 209-10 on the board. Their openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera struck stunning knocks of 61 and 78 respectively.

However, Sri Lanka faced a batting collapse as they were bowled out for just 209 in the end, losing most of the batters for single digits. Later, Australia opener Mitchell Marsh (52) and wicketkeeper Josh Inglis (58) slammed fifties to drive the Aussies to victory by 5 wickets.
