Pakistan‘s winning start in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 came to an end with a humiliating defeat against arch-rivals India last week.

The Men in Green began their campaign with a comfortable 81-run win over the Netherlands. In their second game, they were in big trouble after Sri Lanka piled up a mammoth total of 344 runs. However, centuries from Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan propelled them to the highest-ever successful chase in the history of the World Cup.

However, the Babar Azam-led side failed to make the most of their form and momentum against hosts India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India inflicted a heavy 7-wicket defeat over Pakistan to register their eighth straight win over them in the ODI World Cup.

Pakistan actress’ big promise:

While Pakistan could not Beat India, it looks like their fans are now banking on Bangladesh for the same. Team India’s next game is against Bangladesh. The match is scheduled to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. And ahead of the game, a Pakistani actress is also among several fans from her country who are hoping Bangladesh will avenge their defeat when they take on India.

The actress named Sehar Shinwari, on Wednesday (October 18), took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to make a big promise. She promised to go on a date with a Bengali boy if Bangladesh Beat India, writing:

“InshAllah my Bangali Bandu will avenge us in the next match. I will go to Dhaka and have a fish dinner date with Bangali boy if their team managed to beat India.

Meanwhile, Team India have made a strong start in the World Cup. They are currently at the top of the points table with three wins from as many games. With form on their side, the hosts would be eyeing their fourth straight win when they take on Bangladesh.

India will definitely enter the game as favorites but will have to be cautious against the Bangla Tigers. In last month’s Asia Cup, Bangladesh had stunned Team India and are capable of doing it again on Thursday.
