Pakistan after a dominating performance against Sri Lanka, should look to play the same team. Abdullah Shafique at the top was a welcome change for the side. He replaced Fakhar Zaman more than beautifully. Pakistan are concerned with the form and fitness of Shaheen Afridi. He is carrying a knee injury and a finger injury. He has got a couple of days to recover himself. It will be interesting to see how he goes.

Babar Azam’s form is another concern. He has scored 5 and 10 in the first two games. Mohammad Rizwan and Shafique now become crucial to Pakistan’s cause for the rest of the tournament having scored match-winning centuries against Sri Lanka.

Shadab is the vice-captain of the side. He picked up 1 for 55 against Sri Lanka and was expensive. He has not been able to take wickets in the middle overs for Pak which is a big concern.

Mohammad Nawaz

Nawaz batting at eight lengthens Pak’s batting lineup. He is a quality striker and bowls quality left-arm spin. He took 1 for 62 against Sri Lanka. He is eight short of 50 ODI wickets.

Hasan Ali will bat at nine. He was named as Naseem Shah’s replacement in the squad. He took 4/71 against Sri Lanka. He is three short of 100 ODI wickets.
