Vital contributions from Mohammad Nabi (19), Rashid Khan (16), and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (10*) in the end powered Afghanistan to a total of 272 runs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the star bowler as he picked up four wickets. Hardik Pandya bagged two wickets and Kuldeep Yadav picked one. 

The India chase was all about captain Rohit Sharma. The opening batter came out all guns blazing and smashed the bowlers all over the park. He smashed 131 runs that put the team in the front. Ishan Kishan (47) supported him well as the duo added 156 runs for the opening partnership. 

After the knock by openers, Virat Kohli (55*) played in the usual way and along with Shreyas Iyer (25*) took his team home. India won the game by the game by a margin of 8 wickets. They chased the target in 35 overs.
