Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal issued a warning to the Babar Azam-led side ahead of the much-awaited clash against India in the ICC World Cup 2023. He highlighted that Indian players are in top-notch form and Men in Green need to plan well against them.
India and Pakistan will be clashing with each other on 14th October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The clash will be part of the ICC World Cup 2023 and the excitement of the match has already been seen among fans.
India and Pakistan recently clashed with each other in the Asia Cup 2023. While the first game between them was washed out due to rain, the Men in Blue thrashed the opposition by a massive margin of 228 runs and made them look clueless in all three departments.
India exhibited a brilliant batting performance as they posted a mammoth total of 356 runs on the board. Then with the ball, they then bundled out Pakistan for just 128 runs to win the game. This makes Men in Blue slight favourites going into the World Cup.
Kamran Akmal pointed out that India doesn’t even have Mohammed Shami in the XI which says a lot about their bowling unit. He also highlighted that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma too have regained their form, which is a threat for any team. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he explained:
“Mohammed Shami is on the bench, he doesn’t play in this XI. That shows you it’s a complete bowling unit. Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma are in form, Shubman Gill scored a century recently, so it looks like a solid batting unit.
“I’ll just say that for the match we have on October 14, the Pakistan team need to plan really well to put them under pressure. If they play with the same mentality as the Asia Cup, and the way we played for the past three years, they’re going to get thrashed badly. They need to prepare really well.”

The recent reports in the Pakistan Cricket have revealed that Pakistan squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. It is learned that in the absence of Naseem Shah, the team is likely to add Hasan Ali to the team. Also, it revealed that they wanted to play Saud Shakeel in the middle.
