Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has destroyed the Sri Lankan batting lineup in the ongoing final of the Asia Cup 2023 at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The pacer has breathed fire and has wreaked havoc across the opposition’s batting lineup in the high-pressure game.
Mohammed Siraj dismantled the Sri Lanka batting lineup as he bagged a five-wicket haul in just inside three overs. The pacer kickstarted his spell with a staggering maiden over that tested the opposition on both the inside as well as the outside edge. He extracted swing from the surface and put the hosts under immense pressure.
Mohammed Siraj backed his maiden over with one of the best overs in the history of the ODIs. The pacer bowled impeccable lines and lengths and removed four wickets in that over. He conceded just four days in that over and put his team in the winning position.
Mohammed Siraj started the over with the wicket of Pathum Nissanka as he bowled a length Ball that nipped inwards. The batter played at it and Ravindra Jadeja at the backward point took a staggering catch.
On the third ball of that over he trapped Sadeera Samarawickrama in lbw. Mohammed Siraj bowled a staggering inswinger that nipped in sharply. The ball skidded and the batter was late on the shot. The ball struck him in front of the middle to send the batter packing.
Mohammed Siraj on the very next ball sent Charith Asalanka packing. He bowled a full delivery on off stump. The batter was early on his drive and chipped it straight to covers. On the hat-trick ball, he was smashed for four by Dhananjaya de Silva.
This didn’t go well with Siraj as he on the last ball of the over removed him. The pacer bowled a wide outswinger to which the Sri Lankan batter tried to push at. He got the faint outside edge and the ball was pouched easily by KL Rahul behind the stumps.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a staggering delivery that pitched around the middle and swung away sharply. Kusal Perera tried to push at it and the ball caught the outside edge. The ball was heading towards the first slip but keeper KL Rahul dived to his left and took a brilliant diving catch.
