Indian captain Rohit Sharma set the stage on fire in the ongoing Super Four game of Asia Cup 2023 against Pakistan in Colombo. The right-hander looked in absolute beast mode and smashed the opposition bowlers all over the park and provided his team with a breathtaking start.
Rohit Sharma was very watchful at the start when the ball was doing a bit. But once he got his eye in he looked a completely different player. The Indian captain in particular took Shahdab Khan to the cleaners and put him under tremendous pressure.
However, Shadab Khan took his revenge as he removed Rohit Sharma, thanks to the brilliance of Faheem Ashraf in the field. The leg-spinner bowled a flighted delivery around off. The Indian skipper tried to chip it over the cover and hit it straight.

Rohit Sharma dominated Shadab Khan till the time he was at the crease. He smashed three sixes and two fours against him and gave his team a staggering start. The batter smashed a valiant half-century and stitched 121 runs for the opening partnership with Shubman Gill.
Rohit Sharma ended with the knock of 56 runs off 49 balls. He smashed 6 fours and 4 fours in his innings. This was his 50th half-century in the ODIs.

Not only Shadab Khan, but Shaheen Afridi also took his revenge as he removed Shubman Gill, who smashed him all around the park in the power play. The Indian batter smashed six boundaries in the 12 balls that he faced in the first 10 overs.
Shubman Gill perished just in the next over after Rohit Sharma was dismissed. Shaheen Afridi removed him on a slower ball as he handed straight forward catch to cover fielder. He ended with the knock with 58 runs off 52 balls and smashed 10 boundaries in his innings.
