England National Cricket Team pace-bowling great Stuart Broad received a guard of honour from the Pat Cummins-led Australia National Cricket Team as he walked out to bat in the final innings of his Test career.
After the play on Day 3 of the Ashes finale, Stuart Broad announced that he has made up the decision to retire after the ongoing 5th Test at the Kennington Oval in London. The announcement shocked the cricket world as the fans and pundits didn’t see it coming.

The pacer has been in terrific form in the ongoing Ashes 2023 series. He is the leading wicket-taker for England and overall he is just behind Mitchell Starc.
Meanwhile, on Day 4 of the 5th Test, Stuart Broad alongside his long-time bowling partner James Anderson, who is celebrating his 41st birthday, walked out to bat together for one last time. The Australians formed a guard of honour to welcome Broad.

Stuart Broad was seen putting his arm on Anderson’s shoulder to walk together to acknowledge their great partnership over the years. As they reached the ground, Anderson stepped back and let Broad walk through the guard of honour.

Stuart Broad was up against Mitchell Starc in his final Test innings and he faced 5 dot deliveries before launching a beautiful six on the final delivery of the over.
That also happened to be the last delivery he faced as James Anderson got out in the next over and England were bowled out for 395. Stuart Broad became just the second player to hit his final delivery in Test cricket for six after Wayne Daniel.
