West Indies wicket-keeper batter Joshua Da Silva talked about the moment when his mother met premier Indian batter, Virat Kohli. He said that the batting great made her day and year and it was his sort of goal.
During the Day 1 of the ongoing second Test when Virat Kohli was batting, Joshua Da Silva from behind the stumps revealed how big a fan he is of the Indian batter and also was heard saying on the stump mic that his mother has to come to see him rather than his son.

However, after the second day’s play, Virat Kohli in a heartfelt gesture met Joshua Da Silva’s mom, who was quite emotional after meeting him and even kissed him. She revealed that Indian batter is like her son and a clip of their meet went viral on the internet.
However, ahead of Day 3, Joshua Da Silva talked about a special meeting. He revealed that his mother told him a few days before that she will come to the stadium to watch Virat Kohli. He also remarked how the Indian batter stepped out of the team’s bus to meet her. Speaking in a video posted on BCCI’s social media, he said:
“Yeah, my mom told me before day one, actually a few days before the test match that she’s coming to see Virat Kohli and not me. So it’s kind of funny. I kind of knew it might be my goal a little bit.
“He was on the bus and my mom was like look it’s Virat. So I went and knocked on the window and he came out and met my mother. Made her day, made her year probably.”

IND vs WI: Virat Kohli smashes his 29th Test century
Virat Kohli had a great outing with the bat in the ongoing second Test against West Indies. He scored 121 runs off 206 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and made sure that he makes the 100th Test between India and West Indies a memorable one. This was also his first overseas ton in Test cricket since 2018.
Virat Kohli missed out on a ton in the first game, where he scored 76 runs, but made sure that he completes the unfinished job in the second game. In what was his 500th game, he set the stage on fire and went on to smash his 29th Test ton, surpassing great Sachin Tendulkar in the most number of centuries after 500 games.
