Fans on Twitter erupted in joy as the Yash Dhull-led India A hammered the Mohammad Haris-led Pakistan A in the 12th match of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, July 19.
Pakistan won the toss and asked India to bowl first. Young India pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar did a fantastic job with the new ball as he cleaned up both Omair Yousuf and Saim Ayub for a duck in the 4th over of the innings.

Sahibzada Farhan and Haseebullah Khan batted quite well and they were trying to build a big partnership for their side. However, Riyan Parag and Manav Suthar dismissed the batters for 35 and 27. Kamran Ghulam also failed to score big and Pakistan were reduced to 78/5.
The Indian bowlers continued their dominance in the match and picked up wickets at regular intervals. However, good contributions from Qasim Akram, Mubasir Khan, and Mehran Mumtaz made sure Pakistan cross the 200-run mark.

Chasing the target, Indian batters decimated the Pakistan bowling unit that consisted of the likes of Shahnawaz Dahani and Mohammad Wasim, who have also represented Pakistan’s senior team at the international level.
Although Abhishek Sharma got out after scoring 20, his partner Sai Sudharsan showcased a batting masterclass. Sudharsan stitched together a match-winning partnership with Nikin Jose, but together they were unable to take India past the finish line as Jose was dismissed for 53 runs.
After the fall of two wickets, skipper Yash Dhull joined forces with Sai Sudharsan to steer India A to a victory by 8 wickets in just 36.4 overs. Sai Sudharsan brought out his aggressive avatar in the end and smashed back-to-back sixes off Dahani to complete his magnificent ton and help India seal the victory in style. He scored 104 runs off 110 balls, with 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Very disappointing performance by Pakistan Shaheens against India-A. Pakistan Shaheens with more than half team consisting of international caps is comprehensively defeated by India-A with no known player. This is a reality check of bench strength of Pakistan. #AsiaCup
