Yashasvi Jaiswal had a dream debut as he played a sensational innings and put his side in the dominating position. The opening batter looked settled at the crease right from the start and played one of the best innings on debut.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who averages 80 in FC cricket, batted superbly and notched up a terrific ton on his maiden outing for the Indian Cricket Team. But the hunger for runs was there for everyone to see as even after scoring a ton he batted with the same intensity and scored runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who became the 17th Indian to score a century on Test debut, ended with a knock of 171 runs, which is the third highest by an Indian batter on debut. He played for 387 balls and batted for almost 5 sessions and made sure that his side are at the top all time.

The left-hander broke quite a few records with his marathon knock and also stitched 229 runs partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma (103). His knock helped India take a lead in the first innings without even losing a wicket.
