SRH won their previous game against Rajasthan Royals which was a thriller. They also managed to beat Lucknow Super Giants at home going up to 12 points from 12 games. They are still facing a must-win situation and need to win their remaining two games to stay alive in the playoffs race.

SRH and GT played two games against each other last year and won a game each. This is the very first time both teams are facing each other this season. The Titans will aim to win this match and confirm their spot in the playoffs. Their loss against MI in the previous match has made this game kind of crucial for them.

Gujarat Titans

The Titans have been the most consistent team this season. They managed to play with the same motivation with which they played in their debut season. Hardik Pandya has led from the front and utilized his players and bowlers very well. The biggest strength of this team has been the fact that different players have stood up for the team in different matches. This has been a cumulative effort.

The Titans lost to Mumbai Indians in their previous game and it is good that they are playing SRH at home where they know the conditions very well. They will back themselves to win this game and confirm the playoff spot.

Mohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Noor Ahmad, and Rashid Khan have made this team’s bowling attack one of the best in the IPL.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH have struggled to find the right combination throughout the season. Like KKR, their openers have struggled to fire consistently, adding a lot of pressure in the middle and the lower order to score the runs. Skipper Aiden Markram has not scored many runs with the bat and so has Rahul Tripathi. A few of the players were underutilized.

Bowling-wise, the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan has not been as potent in the past. Mayank Markande has been the highest wicket-taker with 11 wickets from 8 matches, the most by an SRH bowler so far. The absence of Washington Sundar has hurt the side with the second-spinning option. They have not utilized both Adil Rashid and Akeal Hosein as much as they needed to.
