DC vs RCB: “I Was Shocked To See Myself Go For Those Many Runs..”- Kuldeep Yadav Recalls IPL 2019 Incident

Delhi Capitals (DC) have a strenuous task on their hands as they are all set to clash against the lethal Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 6th April (*Saturday) at Delhi. Kuldeep Yadav along with Axar Patel would believe that they can spurn a web across RCB’s fragile middle order. Kuldeep Yadav was spot on with their line & length against GT when he gave away only 15 runs in his 4-over spell and took 1 wicket.

DC would be booming with confidence after snatching victory from the jaws of defeat against the defending champions (GT). The side showed never to say die attitude despite defending 131 runs as the veteran pacer Ishant Sharma outclassed the batters with his variations and defended 12 runs off the last over.

RCB against all odds won against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as it was a complete team performance. RCB now has 5 wins from 9 matches and are placed in 5th position in the points table. A couple of more wins for RCB would take them close to the playoffs.

DC still have an outside chance of making it to the playoffs as they are at the bottom of the points table with 6 points from 9 matches. Skipper David Warner needs to bat responsibility and play his natural attacking brand of cricket rather than getting into the shell.

I hadn’t gone for that many runs before- Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav was seen on the show “Breakfast with Champions”. Kuldeep Yadav recalled the 2019 IPL season when he was playing for KKR. Kuldeep Yadav was smashed for 27 runs by Moeen Ali (*RCB batter at that time) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kuldeep Yadav pointed out that he used to underestimate batters before and was in shock to see them getting whacked around the park. Kuldeep Yadav said that Rohit Sharma & Hardik Pandya called him and said that such things happen.

“I hadn’t gone for that many runs before. He (Yuzvendra Chahal) had bowled a lot in Chinnaswamy so he was experienced. But I was shocked to see myself go for those many runs,” said Kuldeep Yadav.

“I used to underestimate batters before. I thought that ‘How would a left-hander (Moeen Ali) hit me? I gave around 22-24 runs and suddenly the game seemed to be over. I never experienced anything like that. Rohit [Sharma] Bhai and Hardik [Pandya] Bhai too had called me and made me understand that such things happen,” he added.
