Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricketer, has made a comment regarding the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), stating that he believes the scales are heavily tipped in Chennai’s favor. He believes that CSK has a very capable, seasoned team with good spinners and a wide range of choices in their batting order.

On Sunday, April 30, the two teams will square off in Chennai during the afternoon match. With a victory, MS Dhoni and company will tie the Gujarat Titans (12 points) atop the standings.

Chopra predicted that CSK might be too strong for PBKS at home while previewing the match in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel. He stated that he was especially impressed by the batting prowess of the host team:

“I see the scale hugely tilted towards Chennai. I feel it’s going to be slightly difficult for Punjab in this match. Both Chennai openers like this pitch and Devon Conway in particular. Ajinkya Rahane is brilliant if he gets to bat in the powerplay because the ball comes better onto the bat” Aakash Chopra said.

Former cricketer turned broadcaster Aakash Chopra made the observation that while Liam Livingstone hasn’t been playing at the top of his game, Shikhar Dhawan and company haven’t decided on their second foreign batter:

“They play Raza at times and Matthew Short on other occasions. So the job is not getting done. Liam Livingstone’s bat hasn’t spoken properly. You feel there is a lot of depth in batting but it won’t work out if Shahrukh Khan comes at No. 7 or No. 8” Aakash Chopra added.

Chopra picked the lack of spin-bowling depth as another issue for PBKS. However, he feels Sam Curran could prove to be a handy bowler at Chepauk.
