The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) players and support staff will wear green jerseys against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 23 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The ‘Green Game’ concept was developed by RCB in 2011.
The goal of the ‘Green Game’ is to motivate individuals to take positive measures toward environmental preservation. The RCB team’s use of green jerseys is a visual image and reminder of the need to conserve the environment.

RCB came up with the idea for the “Green Game” in 2011. Since then, the team has devoted one of its home games to ‘Go Green’ campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of a cleaner, greener environment.

This year’s green Royal Challengers Bangalore uniforms were created utilizing recycled materials gathered at the stadium. The first game of the season for RCB alone produced 9047.6 kg of garbage, with up to 19,488 water bottles being consumed. Approximately eight tons of dry garbage, food waste, and other recyclable rubbish are produced from the site each game, according to estimates.
