LSG take on GT in match 30 of IPL 2023 in Lucknow on Saturday, April 22. This is the first of the two games to be played in the day. The first match starts from 3.30 pm IST. Mumbai Indians take on Punjab Kings in the evening game. 

LSG successfully defended 154 against Rajasthan Royals and won the match by 10 runs. Avesk Khan bowling the final over defended 19 to win the match by 10 runs and take LSG to eight points. They are placed second with RR placed at the top with 8 points.

Gujarat Titans played their last match last Sunday against the Royals as well. They lost the game and are now placed fourth on the points table with three wins from five games. GT and LSG played twice last year with Gujarat winning both games. LSG are yet to win their first game against the Titans.

In IPL 2023, the home and away format is back in the tournament. Hence, all the teams will play seven matches at home and seven away matches. Each team will play a total of 14 games- 2 games each against 5 teams and 1 match each against the rest 4 teams. Matches will be played across 12 venues around the country.

Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals are among the original franchises to not win an IPL title yet. The season will see a total of 74 matches played across nearly 60 days. Four teams that finish in the top four spots in the points table will qualify for playoffs. The final will be played on May 28.
