Asia Cup 2023: PCB Chairman Najam Sethi Says Pakistan Will Adopt A Strong Stance On Asia Cup and World Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is keen to host the Asia Cup 2023 at home despite the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refusing to send their players to their neighbouring country. PCB chief Najam Sethi said that Pakistan would take a strong stance on the upcoming Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup, which are scheduled to be played in India.

Earlier, the BCCI secretary and the ACC president, Jay Shah made an announcement that Indian players will not travel to Pakistan for the tournament and that the Asia Cup 2023 will be held at a neutral venue. Najam Sethi expressed displeasure over Jay Shah’s statement on the multinational tournament and threatened to pull out of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.
