Kishore Shallow has been chosen president of Cricket West Indies (CWI), with Azim Bassarath as vice-president. They will be appointed for two years.

Shallow had previously served as vice president of the CWI during Ricky Skerritt’s presidency.

The following people were elected as CWI member directors: Jason King (Barbados), Conde Riley (Barbados), Bissoondyal Singh (Guyana), Dileep Singh (Guyana), Donovan Bennett (Jamaica), Wilford Heaven (Jamaica), Enoch Lewis (Leeward Islands), Leon Rodney (Leeward Islands), Kerwin John (Trinidad and Tobago), Arjoon Ramlal (Trinidad and Tobago), Dwain Gill (Windward Islands), Carol Henry (Windward Islands).

Shallow conducted a successful campaign for Vice President of Cricket West Indies in March 2019, alongside his running mate, Ricky Skerritt, who was elected President. Shallow was later elected President of the Windward Islands Cricket Board. Shallow chaired the CWI selection task team that developed the first Cricket West Indies selection policy. Shallow was re-elected unopposed as CWI Vice President for a second term in 2021.

Azim Bassarath will serve as the vice president of Cricket West Indies (CWI), and Kishore Shallow has been chosen as the organization’s new president. They’ll each have a two-year tenure.

“On behalf of Cricket West Indies, I sincerely thank the outgoing President Ricky Skerritt for his latest contribution to our beloved cricket,” Shallow said.

“He has served with distinction and pride in one of the most challenging periods in our lifetime, the COVID-19 pandemic. His tenure has certainly moved us in the right direction. The resounding vote of confidence demonstrated by the shareholders is heartening. My profound gratitude to them and all the stakeholders for supporting me throughout the electoral process,” Kishore Shallow said.

“As I embark on this new role with vice president Bassarath, there is no delusion about the considerable workload. My philosophy remains one of unity and inclusivity. For it is only if we pool our resources and efforts together will West Indies cricket make any meaningful advancement as a cricket nation,” Kishore Shallow added.

Shallow was also the President of Windward Islands Cricket and the previous President of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association.
