The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have unveiled their new blue-colored jersey for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah launched the new jersey, and Captain KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda, and Jay Dev Unadkat were present at the launch.
LSG made their debut in the last edition of the IPL and finished third in the points table under the leadership of KL Rahul, winning nine of their 16 games. The Lucknow-based franchise lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator. Rahul led the team from the front with his performances with the bat, scoring more than 600 runs with an average of 51.33.

Lucknow Super Giants Unveiled New Jersey
Lucknow Super Giants took to Twitter to reveal their new jersey, which is dark blue in color and replaces their cyan-colored one from last year.

The KL Rahul-led team was introduced as one of the two new franchises alongside the Gujarat Titans (GT) last year. They dominated in the group stage and narrowly missed the second spot in the points table before losing to RCB in the qualifiers in a high-scoring eliminator encounter at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will kick off on March 31, with four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The tournament will take place in a home-away format for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. Lucknow Super Giants will start their campaign against Delhi Capitals at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday, April 1.
