IND vs AUS: Watch: “Ek Pair Chandigarh Mein”- Stump Mic Captures Shreyas Iyer’s Funny Remark About Travis Head’s Batting Posture

Indian batter Shreyas Iyer was caught on stump mic chirping hilarious few words on Day 3 morning of the third Test when Australian opener Travis Head was batting. After that comment Head smashed Indian bowlers all around scoring 44 runs off 31 balls.

Australia battled back admirably to defeat India by nine wickets in the third Test after suffering crushing defeats in the first two games.

In the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia exploded into the scene on Day 3 morning and chased down the goal of 76 runs in less than 19 overs. Travis Head, the first batter for the visitors, was the standout of the chase after the ball was changed.

He counterattacked R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. As Australia scored six boundaries in the space of four overs, Head hammered a four and a six off Ashwin and then followed it up with a boundary off Jadeja. He and Marnus Labuschagne appeared to be in a rush to end the game. One particular part of Head’s knock, though, has caused a social media uproar.

“His one leg is in Chandigarh and the other is in Haryana”: Shreyas Iyer on Travis Head

Usman Khawaja was dismissed in the first over of the morning spell thanks in large part to Ashwin, who was brilliant in the opening few overs. Before the ball change, Head and Labuschagne were both having trouble. Head was having trouble reading the deliveries off the surface, and Shreyas Iyer, who was nearby, made a comment about the batter’s unnatural foot action.

“Ek pair Chandigarh mein, ek Haryana mein (One leg is in Chandigarh, one is in Haryana),” said Shreyas Iyer.

The match was completed in little under two days thanks to the efforts of Head (49 not out) and Labuschagne (28 not out), who overcame some tense situations to lead Australia home in 18.5 overs.

For visiting teams, victories in India are uncommon, and Australia, which recently achieved its first triumph on Indian territory in six years, is no exception.

India only lost once in the last ten years, and they will need to revise their strategies before the final Test, which starts on March 9 in Ahmedabad.
