Suresh Raina was flawless with bat and ball in the championship game in addition to shining on the field. In the summit match, he scored 54 runs off of just 29 deliveries and claimed two wickets with the ball. For his outstanding effort, he was given the man of the match award.

On the same day that MS Dhoni declared his departure from international cricket in 2020, Suresh Raina did the same. Raina declared his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2022.
