BCCI Announces India A Squad For 4-day Matches Against New Zealand ‘A’

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed a 16-man India A squad for their upcoming three 4-day Matches against the visiting New Zealand ‘A’ team.

Priyank Panchal will be leading the side and the squad includes two wicket-keepers, KS Bharat and Upendra Yadav. Sarfaraz Khan has been rewarded for his consistent performances in the domestic circuit.

Ruturaj Gaikwad also returns while Rajat Patidar rightfully earned a place in the side following a stellar IPL 2022 season with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise.

Among the bowlers, Rahul Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav are the two leg-spinners while speedster, Umran Malik, will continue learning the ropes having already debuted for the senior team.

The three games will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, and the KSCA Rajnagar Stadium, Hubli, with the former hosting two of the three matches.

The red-ball matches will be held in Bengaluru and Hubli. Squads for the white-ball games to be played in Chennai will be announced later,” the statement from BCCI read.
