Noah Schnapp, one of the actors of the popular Netflix Series Stranger Things, announced that he is gay on TikTok. The 18-year-old actor said he looks more like Will than he thought.

Noah Schnapp, in his statement on TikTok, “I want to say that I am gay. Whether I said it or not, I knew I was. Even though I have gay friends, I wanted to understand myself and talk about it. I think Will is very similar to me. It was very important to me.” said.

At the end of her talk, the actress said to encourage, “If you feel like me right now, accept who you are. Believe me, you will discover how amazing homosexuality is.”

“We hope there will be an opening scene in the drama too”

In an interview about the character of Will, the young actor said, “Now that he’s grown up, they’ve made it a very real and obvious thing. Now it’s 100 percent clear that he’s gay and he likes Mike. But it was a slow process before. I think it was done beautifully because he’s a character. It’s very easy to suddenly be gay,” he said.

Schnapp also expressed hope that Will’s sexuality will be openly addressed in the next season of the show. The actor said, “They have so many different things to deal with. Frankly, we hope it’s an opening scene.”

He went on to say that he hopes fans will be able to see an honest portrayal of Will’s sexuality in the show.
