Coventry City Might Surprise a Few With Their Choice of Recruitments to Stay in The Championship Next Season.

Coventry City has secured the transfer Signing of Brighton striker Viktor Gyokeres for an undisclosed fee, making him their fifth summer signing this season.

The Coventry-based club has survived their first season after promotion in the 20/21 season by securing a 16th position in the league, thanks to some brilliant individual performances. Following their previous campaign's success, the Sky Blues wants to hold their ground for years to come in the Championship and improve the squad accordingly.

6 players of the first team have left the club in the summer after their contract has expired and no efforts were made by Coventry to renew their contracts. Instead, the club was looking forward to recruiting players experienced in the Championship.

Coventry went on to sign Martyn Waghorn from Derby County on a free transfer. The center forward is one of the most experienced Championship players with 322 Championship matches under his belt. Waghorn scored 75 goals as well as has 45 assists in the Championship so far and will be willing to add to his tally with Coventry City.

The Blue Skies also signed Simon Moore as a goalkeeping option for another free transfer deal from Sheffield United. The 31-year-old keeper will likely be a backup option for Coventry's No. 1 Ben Wilson.

Another free transfer signing Bright Enobakhare saw his comeback to the Championship after a brief spell in Greece and India. The former Wolves center forward will mostly add to the squad depth for the club and might as well step up on occasions, given he gets enough chance.

Fans will be delighted by the signing of Ben Sheaf from Arsenal U23 and will expect the player to feature regularly under Mark Robins. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has previously played for League One side Doncaster Rovers on a loan from Arsenal. The deal has been completed for an undisclosed fee and Sheaf is expected to be a first-team regular for the season.

Their latest signing involves Premier League side Brighton's Viktor Gyokeres who has been rather discarded to the bench with 0 Premier League outings.  The 23-year-old has yet to prove his worth to the fans as Gyokeres has only 30 Championship appearances under his belt.

It is expected that Mark Robins will vow heavily upon his attack in the upcoming season with already signing three center forwards this season. Reports are suggesting that Coventry is looking out for a Center back for the summer and a possible left-back too to add to their arsenal.

So far, the club had mostly relied on signing free transfers this summer and the fans will expect their team to sign some big names as loan options in their quest to stay in the Championship.
