Everton and Chelsea, feeling disheartened, have been named as the worst run clubs in the Premier League, according to the recent Fan Hope survey conducted by Sky Bet.
The survey reached out to fans of all 20 Premier League teams, inviting them to express their views on which club they believed was poorly managed in the division. The results indicated that the memories of Everton's and Chelsea's underwhelming performances from the previous season weighed heavily on the respondents.
The 2021/22 Premier League campaign proved to be a challenging one for Everton, as they narrowly avoided relegation. Throughout the season, the team struggled, managing to secure only three victories in their 20 Premier League matches before parting ways with Frank Lampard and appointing former Burnley manager Sean Dyche as his successor in January.

Dyche successfully ensured Everton's Premier League status for the following season, but it was nonetheless a frustrating campaign, with 21 percent of all respondents considering them the worst run club in the division.
More significantly, a staggering 73 percent of surveyed Everton fans expressed their belief that their own club was the worst run in the Premier League. This overwhelming sentiment highlights the deep frustration among supporters regarding recent developments at the club.
Chelsea received 19 percent of the total vote from surveyed supporters, a significant portion, following a challenging season that coincided with Todd Boehly taking over as the club's new owner during the summer.

A vast amount of money was spent on the squad in both the summer and in January, but it was all to no avail as they finished in 12th - their lowest position in the Premier League since it changed format to a 38-game season in 1995.
As well as a number of signings on the pitch, the club also went through three managers as former Brighton boss Graham Potter initially replaced Thomas Tuchel in October, before the Englishman was then sacked himself and ironically Lampard, who Everton had discarded in January, was hired in a caretaker manager role in April until the end of the season.
Also ironically over a quarter of Brighton fans surveyed (26 percent) believed the Stamford Bridge club were the worst run, having taken their manager in the shape of Potter, and spent over £60m on signing defender Marc Cucurella from the Seagulls.
Coming in as the third worst run club was Manchester United, who received 12 percent of the vote from the fans which were surveyed.
Despite a solid season on the pitch which saw Erik ten Hag’s side win their first trophy in the shape of the Carabao Cup, many still had questions over their ownership by the Glazer family.

Tottenham Hotspur rounded off the ‘Top 4’ of worst run clubs according to the survey, receiving 10 per cent of the vote following a disappointing season on the pitch which saw them finish outside the European spots, while also sacking boss Antonio Conte, and then firing his replacement, and long-term assistant, Cristian Stellini as they ended another campaign with Ryan Mason in caretaker charge.
According to the survey, Man City are the best run club with Everton’s Merseyside rival Liverpool in third place
