Paris Saint Germain will no longer look at Barcelona when trying to sign new players, it has been reported.
Over the last few years, both Barcelona and PSG have been involved in some of the biggest transfers in modern football history.
Back in 2017, Neymar Left Barcelona for the Parc des Princes club in a deal worth a reported €222 million.
It was claimed that the Catalan club were left surprised by Neymar’s decision to leave as he was well on the way to becoming a Barcelona legend.
More recently, Lionel Messi left Barcelona for PSG when his deal at the Camp Nou expired.
Messi was in some ways forced to leave Barcelona due to their worsening financial problems.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that PSG have appointed former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique as their new manager.
According to Spanish media outlet SPORT, Enrique’s arrival has improved the tensions between the two clubs.
Furthermore, it has been reported that Enrique will not be looking at Barcelona Players during the transfer window as he aims to improve his current squad.
After signing for PSG, Enrique said: “I love this pressure and this mission, it’s fantastic to have this pressure.
“There are plenty of teams that have the same dream, sometimes with more experience, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reach this level.”
The Spaniard added: “The Champions League is almost unfair, a bad game and you’re out. We want to get the best out of the team. It’s a challenge. It is substantial.
“My idea of football is attacking, attacking football, which can be entertaining for the supporters and which produces results. This is my challenge, I am committed to doing this. I am delighted to be there as PSG coach.”
