Fans can't resist digging out Man Utd flop after Usain Bolt scores at Old Trafford

Manchester United fans were keen to swap Wout Weghorst for Usain Bolt after the fastest man in history equaled his Old Trafford goal tally.

Bolt started as the Soccer Aid World XI captain and found himself in acres of space when bursting past rapper Bugzy Malone to bare down on the goal of England man David James.

Opening up his body on his favoured left foot, the 36-year-old stayed calm to roll home the opening goal - with United fans watching on at their home stadium.

Not only were they impressed with the finish - but fans even called Bolt better than their flop loan signing from Burnley after he managed two goals across 31 games.

One fan said: "Usain Bolt opens the scoring at Soccer Aid! He now has as many Old Trafford goals as Wout Weghorst.”

A second added: "Usain Bolt has the same amount of goals as weghorst at OT guess who played 20 games more."

A third posted: "We could have gotten Usain Bolt for free than wasting efforts on Weghorst."

A fourth agreed: "Bolt over weghorst, not going to lie."

Weghorst, 30 has now been linked with a move to Everton after leaving United, with Burnley promoted to the Premier League without him under Vincent Kompany.

Bolt, 36, had only scored once in his Soccer Aid career before Saturday and was taken off in the second-half as Robbie Keane impressed with two goals.

For the World XI, Roberto Carlos, Francesco Totti, Hernan Crespo and Nani all played a part in the first half, with celebs including Sam Claflin and Kem Cetinay.

Jack Wilshere, Gary Neville, Jermain Defoe, Gary Cahill, Jill Scott all started the fixture, with celebs including Tom Hiddleston, Liam Payne and Tom Grennan for England.

Asa Butterfield was the man to level for England before Paul Scholes put them in front, with Keane's double coming before Cetinay made it four.
