Alejandro Garnacho scores 90 minute stunning goal as Man United advance in the FA Cup

Alejandro Garnacho scored a brilliant winner for Manchester United in their FA Cup clash against West Ham United on Wednesday evening.

United welcomed West Ham to Old Trafford with a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals on the line.

The away side took the lead in the 54th minute through Said Benrahma.

The goal was shrouded in controversy. A few United players, including Casemiro, stopped playing in the build-up as they felt the Ball had gone out of play.

Benrahma belted the ball past David de Gea and into the top corner a few moments later.

But three goals from United in the remaining 13 minutes gave the home side the victory.

The game looked as if it would go to extra-time when Nayef Aguerd headed the ball into his own net.

But Garnacho won it for his side with a brilliant finish in stoppage-time.

The ball fell to the 18-year-old inside the box. The Argentine took a touch and curled the ball into the corner of the net.

It was a superb finish and one that sparked scenes of jubilance inside Old Trafford. View it below..

Fred then scored in the 95th minute to seal Man Utd's spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Fans were quick to react to the youngster’s goal.

One said: “Some strike from the boy Garnacho!!”

Another commented: “What a finish by Garnacho that was!! Wow!!”

Fred sealed the win after his late strike made it 3-1 to the Old Trafford club as United marched onto the last eight of the competition.

BBC Sports commentator Pat Nevin praised Erik ten Hag for his decision-making.

He said: “It goes down as a great cup tie. West Ham played fantastically at the start of the second half but the question was could they keep up the pressure and the tempo. The answer was 100 per cent no.

“Erik ten Hag made the right decisions bringing on Casemiro and Rashford and they forced West Ham back.”

United are still in the three remaining competitions as they look to mount a surprise charge towards the unprecedented quadruple.

They are currently 11 points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League table with a game in hand, whilst they face Spanish La Liga side Real Betis in the last 16 of the Europa League.

How many trophies do you think United will win this season? Let us know in the comments.
