Cristiano Ronaldo Could Play Champions League Football Next Season -- Explained

After weeks of speculation about his future, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr. The Portuguese signed for the Saudi Arabian side on a two-year deal with huge wages.

However, according Fichajes, Ronaldo has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for...Newcastle United.

For that move to happen, the English club will have to first qualify for the Champions League. If they manage to secure a place in the tournament next season, there will be an option for Cristiano to join Newcastle on a loan deal as they are owned by the Saudi backed public investment fund.

The Magpies have had quite a start to the 22/23 season, they are third in the Premier League table, only two points behind reigning champions Manchester City.

It will, however, take a huge effort for them to fend off the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea for a place in the top four.
